Happy 2019 my blogging friends and family! And of course, for all my writers out there. And since this is my first LWY Writer Wednesday for 2019, I wanted to share my Writing Goals for 2019!

Last year was the start of my writing career, well in the fictional writing world. It was one that went down the path of self-publishing that included both tears of happiness and stress. But I survived and did much better than I thought I was going to do.

This year I am going to start it off strong and make sure that I get my writing goals out there for 2019. Now, I’m not calling this my New Year’s Resolutions because I made a whole video about that. A video you can find on Youtube.com/lostwithyvonne check it out on Monday, January 7 when it officially premieres!

But writing goals is a whole other thing that I wanted to actually write a blog post about.

Writing Goals for 2019

So what better way to not only have my first Writer Wednesday AND my first blog post of 2019 be this very lovely post!

So please, sit back and relax after the start of 2019. And read on, maybe get a writing idea or two as I set out the goals that I hope you will help me achieve or at least hold me accountable for the year! And maybe even inspire you to make some writing goals for yourself!

Lost with Yvonne’s Writing Goals of 2019

  • Write AND publish 6 books (preferably every other month starting this month)
  • This was a goal to be consistent and write more. Because as a self-published author the best thing to build and keep an audience is to keep writing and publishing works for your readers.
And yes, I like to think I’m starting this goal off hot since I’ve already got one book down, my THIRD book – Diving Right In – in my Harperson Lake series comes out JANUARY 14! You can pre-order it soon!

  • Have a Writer Wednesday every other week on the Blog
  • This is an exciting one that I semi-started back when I released my first book, you can check out that post here. I loved the idea of giving tips and sharing my thoughts as an author on my blog. And since I primarily am a travel blogger, I wanted my love of writing to have its own day, which is why I wanted to start up Writer Wednesday. So for all, you lovely writers keep an eye out every other week for some awesome LWY Writer Wednesday content! And I’d like to think that I’m already KILLING IT ALREADY BABES! This was my first one of many more to come this year!

  • Share tips on my writing journey on blog
  • This coincides with my Writer Wednesday posts where I’ll be sharing my real-time tips of how I started my fiction writing career and more. And by more tips I mean share a lot more about my self-publishing journey and how to keep motivated to write, etc. I want to get deep down and personal with you all, and I know I already do that with my podcast (Which you can listen here) but I also want to give you tangible advice on writing your first or twentieth book!

  • Start 2nd YouTube Channel called Write with Yvonne
  • Again, this all coincides with documenting my journey as a self-published author/writer. I want to eventually start an Author Tube channel with more tips on this writing life I live, and YouTube is one of my favorite platforms. So, while I simultaneously grow my Lost with Yvonne YouTube Channel, I want to eventually branch into a separate channel that will talk mainly about writing and maybe about books? Maybe I’ll eventually become the booktuber that I’d always wanted to be!

  • Join Nanowrimo in November again
  • I’m proud to say that I made my Nanowrimo goal last year, so I want to do it once again this next year! And if you don’t know what that is, November is known as National Novel Writing Month, Hence Na-No-Wri-Mo. And I did this for the first time last year and I pushed myself enough to actually finish an entire novel that is set to release as my March book! So I want to do this again this year and maybe join in the local events that happen during this month as well!

  • Connect and give back to my readers.
  • For real, I just really want to connect with my readers. You all have a special place in my heart for all the support and love people give me in all the crazy goals I set out in the world. So I just want to give back, which is why I even wanted to start Writer Wednesday on my blog because now that my blog is finally gaining some traction, I want to give back more! And so I’d love to connect with everyone. You can always follow me on all my social media, or contact me with any questions. I am open to most things and am happy to help, support or just be a friend! PS I LOVE connecting on Twitter, it’s probs my fav platform to connect with people on, also because I talk a lot of crap while I’m there : )

And there we have it! I published two books last year and that barely is a lick of all the crazy things I’m ready to amp up on for my writing this year!

I’m ready to keep writing, editing and publishing for all my lovely readers and hope to encourage or inspire you to keep on your writing goals or keep you entertained with my novels.

For now, I hope you enjoyed this little post as my first blog post of the 2019 year!

I’m excited for the future of this year and can’t wait to see how everything goes! If you want to check out my books, you can check them out HERE!

And as always, keep being awesome and I hope your 2019 is going to be an amazing one!
