Italy. Honestly one of my favorite countries. It has wonderful food and beautiful cities. As much as I wanted to spend days in each country if I could, all it took was just a few hours in Pisa, Italy and we were all set.

Pisa, if you did not know is where The Leaning Tower of Pisa is. And that’s basically the town.

Pisa Italy in Two Hours
Pisa Italy

Okay, I’m being critical. There is probably so much more to Pisa, but we all know what we’re there for.

And it’s to get the most creative cool Lean Tower Pisa picture out there. And I opted to be as cheesy as possible. Hence the millions of pictures I took while there.

Or Fail a picture

Now Pisa was just a stop before we headed to Florence and then Venice. Honestly, Pisa (and Florence) weren’t really a part of my itinerary until I messed up my dates in Amsterdam and we ended up in Milan earlier than we were supposed to.

So I found the opportunity to make a little pit stop in Pisa before we headed for Florence for the night.

We started with another Kabob before trekking to find the Leaning Tower, which was not hard to find. And then we were off to find the Tower, which literally took less than ten minutes to find because once it was in your line of vision you couldn’t unsee it.

It was massive.

I for some reason thought it was going to be smaller, probably just because the pictures people take with it make it seem so tiny. But it was very tall. And there also a ton of people.

In order to get good pictures you really needed to maneuver around people and it was hard since they had roped off the grass part that is adjacent to the building.

But nonetheless, I did my best and so did Alex and we got quite a bit of pictures with it. We knew this was going to be a short trip so we just took a billion and one pictures and of the surrounding area before we headed back to the train station to catch a train to Florence.

And the train station is just a bridge and few blocks of a walk and BAM you’ve hit with the tower from afar.

There is quite a bit more to see in Pisa, I’m sure. But I honestly only wanted to see the Leaning Tower since we all know it so well. And so I did.

And we did that in less than two hours before we were back on a train to Florence.

So if you want a quick few hour trip, add Pisa to your trip from Milan to Florence. Alex and I basically did a giant circle from Milan to Pisa to Florence to Venice and back to Milan.

And this was all done in a matter of a few days.

So TIP, if you want a pit stop, take a pit stop in Pisa. Or spend longer there if you want to, I didn’t know too much about Pisa besides the tower, so I kept my trip short.

But there you have it.

I leaned. It towered. And then I was out.
