Milan part 3

Nearing the end of my Milan adventure (I’ve already visited The Duomo and the Galleria), we ended up at the infamous castle. Surprisingly the only castle I saw and went to while I was in Europe (SAD, I know).

But before we went to the castle we actually ended up seeing a few churches along the way, one was the San Carlo al Corso in the center of Milan.

And the other is Basilica San Lorenzo Maggiore where we decided to rest up a bit on the beautiful steps and look at their archway and street art.

We also went to a church that looked big, but is surprisingly smaller than it looks from the inside.

We went to the Santa Maria presso San Satiro church and while it looks grandiose like most churches do with an arched dome alter, it turns out it’s all a painting to fool you. It was quite impressive to see in person how one can actually make it look like it goes on further, when it’s just a painted wall.

After all the churches we also ended up seeing the perfect door for my best friend Issela, but possibly a bit too small for my 6 foot 3 man Alex.

But of course we did finally end up at the famous Sforza Castle. And it was as big and medieval as I ever thought a castle to be.

Now I could bore you with history that I probably had to look up on google. But instead I will just show you all the beauties it had in store for me when I went.

We decided to chill on the grass in front of the castle to take it all in.

And since it was nearing the end of the day, we definitely were starting to get a bit pooped.

So we ended up at the park behind the castle, Parco Sempione. We strolled through, went over the bridge over the water and then we ended up at the Arch of Peace or Arco della Pace. And I’d have to say it was pretty beautiful at sunset.

And as my Milan adventure comes to an end, of course before heading home, we had to stop by some bars and have a taste of the Milan nightlife. While we were here on a weekday instead of a crazy weekend, we still had some drinks and fun. But I’d have to say the best part of these Milan bars is the all you can eat buffet of breads, pastas, seriously all sorts of amazing Italian foods as long as you buy a few drinks inside the bar.

That buffet was the best part of the Bar!

And I’d have to say Cream Milano was good to us with out bucket drink, tequila shots and free tube shots in the end. But of course all the free buffet style food of deliciousness that awaited us at the front of the bar.

All I’d have to say is cheers to Milan, I truly had a great time all day and night!

And then the rainbow shots!
